A Career Built on Independence.
A Life Built Around What Matters Most.

Thirty-one years of professional success, lasting friendships, and the freedom to enjoy life's most important moments.

Over the past 25 years, Steve Elliott hasn't missed a single one of his children's events.

For someone who has spent more than three decades building a highly successful career in long-term care insurance, that's a remarkable accomplishment. And perhaps it tells us more about Steve than any production number could.

Steve began his insurance career in 1995 after six years working with a publishing company. Seeking greater independence and control over his schedule, he discovered an industry that offered both meaningful work and tremendous opportunity.

His dedication paid off. Steve became LTPC's top national agent for seven years before joining three other leading producers to establish Capstone Financial Assurance. Steve joined LTCPG in 2012 and has been a valued partner ever since.

The key to this business is separating your personal life and your work life. You need to carve out the times that you will be working and don't compromise those times.

Steve credits his accomplishments to hard work, annual goal-setting, and adapting to an evolving industry. He also emphasizes the importance of maintaining clear boundaries between work and personal life.

He offers another valuable insight for fellow producers: “The key to this business is overcoming denial.” Steve believes that understanding the psychology behind clients' reluctance to plan—and learning how to help them overcome it—is essential to becoming a successful long-term care insurance producer.

For Steve, family has always come first. His wife and three children remain the center of his life.

Outside work, you'll find him e-foiling, surfing, skiing, playing pickleball, or enjoying the gym. Now empty nesters, Steve and his wife also enjoy traveling, averaging eight weeks a year exploring destinations near and far.

He's built a career that supports the life he wants to live, rather than the other way around.

It can be cliché these days to say that our company is a family, but never have I seen an organization where this is more true. People really do care about each other in this organization and will go out of their way to help you. Some of my best friends in the world work with LTCPG.

When asked what he values most about LTCPG, Steve's answer centered on the people.

That captures something special about our organization. Our agent-owned model allows independent producers to share in the success they help create, while fostering relationships built on cooperation, friendship, and mutual support.

Steve, thank you for the example you've set, the relationships you've built, and the contributions you've made to LTCPG and the long-term care insurance industry. Your success speaks for itself, but it's the values you've maintained along the way that make us especially proud to call you a partner.

We're grateful to recognize you in the inaugural issue of The Helm.

A rising tide lifts all boats.
